Captain
Liam's love of the ocean began long before it became his career — as a boy he was forever in the tide pools and reefs, captivated by the world beneath the surface. At sixteen, a chance day at the Cape Royal Yacht Club in Cape Town changed everything: mistaken for experienced crew, he was invited aboard to race, and was hooked from that first afternoon on the water. Years of regatta racing followed, then his RYA Yachtmaster qualification and a full professional career at sea.
Ten years on, Liam has sailed much of the world — Greece, Belize and the Cayman Islands among his favourites — aboard everything from 27-foot Boston Whalers to 94-foot monohulls, and most often on catamarans in the 60-foot range. Safety is always his first priority; beyond that, his joy is the water itself. A keen kitesurfer, diver and snorkeler, he loves leading guests to secluded anchorages and the marine life that fills them, and making sure everyone aboard feels completely looked after.
Chef
Born and raised in Mexico, Maria's first love was design — she studied architecture and spent two years working in Paris, refining an eye for detail and balance. Then she met Liam, who tempted her into the salty life; once she'd had a taste of life aboard, there was no going back.
Since then Maria has built a wonderfully hands-on career at sea as cook and stew with real deck skills — charters in Belize and the Cayman Islands, a 92-foot sailing yacht in the Mediterranean, and an Atlantic crossing — picking up everything from cheffing to tender driving, docking support and guiding dives. A qualified PADI Divemaster (with a few good stingray facts on hand), she brings a calm, capable energy to every day aboard, and the kind of food that makes guests feel instantly at home. Her sights are set on her skipper's licence next.
